I got this to add some additional space for cups in our vehicle. The device secures nicely in the existing cup holder. There are no adhesives, the spacers extend as you turn the device which locks it into place. The lower cup holder will hold a 12 oz can or a normal sized water bottle, but would not fit our 40oz metal tumbler. The upper holder can be moved around and resized quite large, but for heavier items it will bounce and wobble when driving. We had the same 40oz tumbler in it and had to move it for fear it would bounce out or break. All in all, this is a handy device with some limitations. I'm still happy with the purchase.They are hard to get sturdy hold. It is because of the empty space in most cars, between the cup holders.I like this cup holder but the top one that swings out is difficult to expand, especially with one hand. When it’s swung open it is a little flimsy for heavier cups and the bottom cup holder is too small for some drinks. With all that being said I do use it a lot, after learning which drinks can go where.It makes my trip to the gym possible without spillage. For the rotating holder which holds my water bottle I angle it so that it seats on the passenger seat edge which helps support the weight at the bottle. It has been a good addition when I hold 3 drinks at a time.The extra arm is a teeny bit rocky as I hear the ice shaking about in my water cup, but it fits nicely into the extended cup holder part. The part that fits into the cars actual cup holder is big enough for a Panera large coffee cup. I haven’t tried a Starbucks grande or venti yet, but either way they’d fit in one of the holders. It’s great to have an extra cup holder for when I have passengers in the car.I carry a 1 litre Nalgene everywhere. Now it has a place to sit in my car where it is neither in the way or rolling around.I like it this product, my only vice is that it is bulky for the space between the two front seats of my Tiguan.I'm glad I purchased this!
