I am very pleased with this mount so far. I have a 2000 jimmy and got tired of cheap, plastic, crap phone mounts that break or dont hold the phone securely. The forked mount peice fit perfectly on the right front seat bolt of the drivers seat. I knew where i wanted my phone to be after installation, so i ended up trimming about 6 " off the aluminum rod and reattaching the mount to the end before the install. I did have to take off the side plate of the seat where the power controls are, and i also took off the black plastic peice of molding that covers the seat motor. on this black front peice, I had to do a little trimming of the plastic so that is the seat needs to be moved all the way forward, it will not hit the mount. I also decided to trim the forked mount peice. in order for the seat to move all the way forward, i chose to use the two lowest holes to mount the rod, and removed the rest of the bracket where other hole choices were. this made for a nice, clean, compact installation, and i still have full range of movement with the drivers seat. the phone now sits nice and low between my thigh and the automatic gear shifter. it does kind of block one of the cup holders but that does not bother me. with my arm on the center arm rest, my phone is in reach so i barely have to move it to manipulate the phone. I highly recommend this mount, it is very stable and holds the phone well. on another note, i also got an ultraslim Qi charger to put under the phone for no wired charging.
